E-------5-7-----7-|
B-----5-----5-----|
G---5---------5---|
D-7-------6-------|
A-----------------|
E-----------------|

I know it's probably a dumb question, but where the 7 and the 6 are, I understand your supposed to play them at the same time, but i also know that you don't touch the B and G string there because there isn't an open symbol. So how do I hit the E and D there without hitting the other ones?

Use your thumb on your right hand to pick the 6, and another finger to pick the 7. Or you can use your pick on the 6, and a finger on the 7.

Yeah it's stairway lol. I've been playing for a few months now and have thought about, and it's only just like actually hit me to try and learn it. And in a few days i'll be able to try it on this ESP Viper i just bought, so i'm pretty excited
