I Know, I figured a good hardwood cab with decent speakers for 150 simoleons, I'll take it and put Vintage 30's in it later. Hell, for that price, I'll get another (or maybe 2 more) empty and put in some Greenbacks.

i hear that they are relatively neutral voicing wise. I have a Mesa Black Shadow 90 in my F-50 and its basically a 70/80 clone i think.
Gibson Les Paul Studio
Highway One Telecaster
Dean Evo
Mesa F-50
Laney GH50L
Vox AC30 C2

i think they're a little overpriced for what they are. the celestion label adds quite a few bucks to it. and they're more along the budget-run of celestions.

weber, warehouse, and hellatone speakers are all basically celestions without the name, so you save a lot of money.

Mesa/Boogie Mark IV + Recto 2x12
Keeley Modded BD-2

^ I know, I'm gonna replace them with Warehouse speakers eventually, I just figured I'd kinda see if they were just utter crap. I mean, the cab's supposed to be good quality, and it's $150.

They're distinctly average. Neutral, trebly voicing, lacking bottom end. Not good.
The Laney Thread are big and clever. No exceptions.

^Depends on the amp.

They can be had for cheap used.

Sound good with darker amps.

Spose, they just lack a lot of character when compared to better speakers. Speakers aren't just an EQ thing, they have qualities and subtleties to them as well.

I was thinking about getting the same cab, actually... although probably not for now.

Very sensitive speakers if I'm thinking of the right speakers. Incredibly loud.

This is, of course, if I'm thinking of the right speaker.

That's a lot of booze. Frankly, I'm impressed. You're of a stronger timber than the average man, jimbob! Hail you.

Are those the same speakers they use in the Valvetronix AD50VT?
Or is it some other speaker.
