My band is wanting to record a demo on a budget. Can anyone recommend any decent portable recording equipment? I was looking at the zoom h4 but I'm not sure what its like.

i use the boss micro br. havent tried other stuff but it works for me. useful for quick recordings and practice (built in mic) but has built-in amp models or a line too so you can actually record a real demo on it. go to the link in my sig for some clips
