A few months ago, my PSU ended up not working anymore (it kept flashing, and I had to wait hours for it to turn itself on).
So, I replaced it, and everything was fine again.

But a week ago, when I turned on the mains power, the PSU light flashed, then stopped flashing a second or two later. In order to turn on the computer, I had to push the power button as it flashed, and it booted up.

But now, I can't even do that. So, I'm going to get a different PSU - hopefully the same type of model.

But the question is - why have two PSUs 'failed'?
I haven't added or removed any hardware in years.

What's up with this?

Guys, google the fecking term - only takes 5 seconds.

EDIT: Yes, one of those. I don't think its the wall, I only use the computer, speakers, screen, printer and lamp on the wall. Although, I do have another wall socket (its a double wall socket) that I plug in to use my amp.

I opened this thread thinking you were talking about Penn State, not a power supply...

Well, I replaced it.
The old PSU had 250W, the newer one has 200W. I didn't want to, but its the only choice I had.
It's all working at the moment though.

I guess I'll try and get my hands on a 300W+ PSU at some point soon.
