Hey all. Not sure if this is where I am supposed to post this, but if not just let me know and I'll move it to wherever

Here's what I'm looking for:
1. Something that can record guitar tracks
2. Something that has amp/cab models
3. Something I can plug headphones into
4. As close to $500 as possible

Thanks so much!

an Mbox 2 does all of that for about $500.. less on depending where you get it from, comes with Pro Tools and a good bunch of basic plug-ins
no dice.

Any plans for live stuff? Or is it just recording, plain and simple?

Live stuff? No this is just for recording...

Guitar Rig and Mbox2 are good suggestions. Thanks

How about a good multi-effects pedal that can record USB in? The Boss GT10 is ~$500. You could get Reaper and be a little over budget (unless you go Refurbished) or Audacity to record your stuff. It has headphones and everything else. Insanity is possible.

Zoom and Line6 are other popular multi-effects brands that can offer USB ins. You could get a Zoom G9.2tt ($400) and then a good expensive pair of headphones (AKG K240S for $99).
