Its a little bitch.

There i was, harmlessly looking for tabs and lyrics for arthur the aardvark theme tune (you know - hey HEY what a wonderful kind of day, where we can learn to work and play... by ziggy marley? - yea) and i clicked on a video with the lyrics on some site. It said "file not recognised by windows media player" so i downloaded the suggested video codec. The codec went crazy on installation and went wrong. I thought fair enough i'll look on youtube instead.

MUCH TO MY SURPRISE my Internet explorer started redirecting me to PORNO SITES (gasp!) and this shitty video site called blix which had small asian man talking about a table and chair with drilled on lilly . Then i started having un-deletable shortcuts for "animal bdsm", "gay fetish sex" and "fisting her" on my desktop. THEY WOULD NOT DIE!!!! then the rapid antivirus its self showed up and started trying to tell me to download and install it for $59.99!

I saw through this surreptious and cunning plan to steal my monies and decided to research this bastard on firefox (which is now my numero uno browser) and it told me that rapid antivirus was a "new fast spearding high threat piece of spyware loaded from ad banners and false sites" it told me that i should download adaware adscare addelaware ad(lulwutpear) and all those stupid ass hole trial version spyware killers. i tried norton and it was about as helpful as a bus crash. Then i started getting bluescreens of DEATH. every time i rebooted my resolution was on 600 x 400 and everything was fat. including the icon picture for the animal bdsm shortcut
In the end i just did a system restore to last week and it was all ok... for now...

Moral of the story ladies and gents is: buy a mac (even though you might go gay) and stopzillia eats my ass when it comes to killing spyware.

oh yea and system restore is awesome.

thanks for reading, hope this helps in the future.

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

Exactly the reason I bought F-Secure.

Watch out for a programm named 'malware bell' as well, it's basically the same thing (without the animal bondage though).

To do system restore (on vista) you simply go to you control panel and have a looksie for the backup and restore centre (like a homeless centre... but not.) having found that there will be an option on the top left corner which says "repair windows using system restore" that takes to a "wizard" called system restore who turns back time on your computer to a specific point of your choosing. (mine was "gearbox installed)

Basically your computer saves an image of what it was like every time you install or uninstall a program so that you may go back if you wish.

you cant go forwards...

Arthur the Ardvark was a totally different character from Arthur.

They were however, both on the BBC.
Don't take me too seriously.

Thank god for system restore. On my laptop I'm using now I used to have over 1500 viruses. I was looking for a "program" >_>. I did a system restore and my computer was completely fine. No problems.

No, just no. Macs suck more cock than a hooker on overtime.

Moral of the story, don't be a dumbass and download video codecs without researching them first!

Or just get VLC Media player. If it won't play it, nothing will.

And to the dude praising the system restore thingy, do you know that most viruses like to hide in there because your anti-virus can't remove them from those files?

Yea macs are just as prone to problems as pcs are. my roomates mac just bluescreened on him and he had to send it away for a few days to have it fixed. something got on it, deleted all his files and eventually he got a bluescreen.

PC's and Macs are the same thing inside, they just have software running. The Mac software is more stable, but hardware-wise, they are both as prone they break(my macbook's keyboard broke yesterday so...).
