i can get one of these for 200$ used. i was just thinking of your opinions on them.

i play on a fender mim strat and i play mostly metal
can it distort well? what are the ups and downs

Meh, from the reviews I've just read, it isn't really the best; a Roland Cube or Vox Valvetroinx would be better really.

What's your current amp, and is your Strat the HSS version?

EDIT: Although some people say it's good?!?!

no its sss and i play on a 10 watt fender : (

but i can get a used 30 watt vox for 179$ which is 20 bucks cheaper.. which should i go with?

Is it an AD30VT?

If so, for $179 get it. It is a great amp, capable of playing many styles of music. Of the eighty nine million built in effects, I found delay, reverb, compression, and chorus useful on it.

tl;dr It is a great amp, especially for that money.
