Okay i'm sixteen and I really need a job. My band wants to get out gigging, but I need to buy a good bass amp first. Basically my questions are; What do I have to put on my CV/How to write a CV? How do I go about getting a job? Interview help? Travelling to work?
Additional info:
I live in the UK.
Male.
16 years old.
I'm in full time education.

Any help would be appreciated, and no i'm not gonna give you my paycheck for your advice.

Borrow a good friend's amp. Get a few paid gigs. Buy new amp. Problem solved.

None of my friends play bass so that isn't an option unfortunately. I also wanna job to pay for a holiday to Turkey with my mates next year.

Basics for CV are:
Contact information
Education/Work Experience (in reverse chronological order, as in most recent first)
Skills
What type of employment you are looking for

Certain places will just skim over your CV, so 1 page will do, make sure its TYPED, free-flowing, good grammar/spelling, and reasonably good design. Try and make it stand out a small bit. Print up a load of them, put them in envelopes and just hand them in everywhere you can find, even if they are not currently hiring.

the job centre website has a lot of vacancies, and your local paper will probably have 1 particular day with a large jobs section. Find a CV template on google and work from that. If you're not in full time education, sign on for job seeker's allowance, I've found that really motivated me to start looking properly (still don't have a job though, lol).

I'm in full time education so I can't get job seekers allowance.

WRONG.

The only reason it exists is because drugs get people fucked up, and people love getting fucked up.

If you haven't worked before just put in education, the results of any exams you've done. Maybe even extra curricular activities, clubs and teams you've been in, anything to show you are a team player and all that shit.

The general structure should be:
Contact info
Hobbies/Interests
Education/Results/Awards
References (in this case it'd probably be your principal, ring your principal first to see if he/she can give you a reference)

Then all you have to do is prepare for an interview. Just follow a few simple rules
Don't lie, being the most important.
Don't tell them anything bad about yourself, if you have any bad points, redirect them to good points. If they don't ask, don't tell.
Plan ahead, its easy enough to predict the type of questions they'll have for you, and to prepare some good answers.
Dress well for the interview, at your age you wont have to wear a suit and tie to an interview, just something clean, nothing with logos or any other distractions.
