I have used search bar and nothing worked.

Theres a buzz on my epiphone G-400 on the Low e string.
I've tried raising the action , didnt work.
It buzzs open and fretted. Only the e string is buzzing.

I think it might be the nut but im not sure, is there any way of telling?
Also, i havent messed with the thruss rod because im afraid of screwing up my guitar.

Any help will be appreciated.

because the strings are new the lower strings buzz a little
as long as you can't hear the buzzing through your amp you'll be fine.
give it a couple of days.
it'll go away

it wont always go away. for example, if the string isnt fitting correcting un the cut of the nut.
but yeah, you can see if it's sitting on top of the cut, or if it's rattling or stuck in the cut, then repost with what you see.

also, there's a setup thread at the top of the page for these types of questions.

check the first post, follow the directions, see if your neck needs adjusting.

but it's just one string, and you cant say where the buzzing is coming from, so it's not likely.

just an update, turns out the nut was too low, so i put a small piece of paper in there, and the buzzing stopped.

i did that for an acoustic i have. it's a lazy fix but it works.

if you ever want to make it more permanent, you can mix super glue and baking soda in the cut, let it harden and reshape it with a file.
