I thought It might be a good Idea to open a thread to find out the best Distortion pedal for different kinds of music and as a kinda what distortion pedal to buy for what guide.

(plus I'm looking into getting a new distortion pedal or two one for classic rock and one for Death metal!! or one that does both really well!! =P)

There is no "best" - the best thing to buy depends on the rest of the equipment you're using and also the kind of tone you prefer for certain applications.

I'd look at Boss equipment.

-Not terribly expensive
-Great sound if you get the right one(s)
-Build to withstand a nuclear holocaust.

Boss makes some ok products, that doesn't include their distortion or overdrive pedals.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not
