Laney 30W tube amp VC30 or something (no gearhead am i)

1. Im playing
2. Pop and there is silence
3. Check amp lights are still on
4. All my gears still on and working
5. Cables are all in
6. Try another guitar still nothing
7. go direct from guitar to amp
8direct from guitar to amp with different cable
9. Look on the back of the amp no discolouring or weird looking tubes, all are lit up as usual
10. Flick resistance switch to 4 ohms (should it be there anyway?)

What have i not checked?

So the tubes are working? I bet the pop was a component going out. Turn the amp off and unplug it. Take off the back panel (careful not to touch anything inside the chassis and see if you can see a component that blew.

Are you sure the speaker is plugged in? If the speaker blew it would still make noisy, albeit crappy noise. If the amp is still on and the tubes still light up it's probably a component inside the chassis. To check it you'd have to take the chassis out and look at the board, but if you don't know what you're doing you probably shouldn't do this. Let a tech check it out.
