No. Everybody dies. And one day, given that your relationship doesn't crash and burn like so many do, one of you will end up deep in sorrow while watching the other one die.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, very easy solo

ive heard some solos on the radio by these new age shitty bands that are like 1 note just tremeloed so those probably take the cake

I can play heart breaker, master of puppets, all of one solos perfectly (live and studio) and still can't play smells like teen spirit solo worth a crap. Is that odd?

If it's for teaching purposes, nothing better than throwing in some BB King, The Thrill Is Gone comes to mind. Teaches patience and proper bending.

I love metal but death metal's just a bit too much for me. The most I can get into is serious-illness metal.

Doesn't work. Different people find things easy/difficult. You should base it on the abilities of each individual kid, not just make a blanket list to apply to everyone.

Marshall 1960a Cab

Fender Bassman 410H
Play what you love, love what you play

Sultans of Swing is difficult imo.
Your opinion is just that, YOUR opinion. It doesn't make you right. It doesn't make you better. It doesn't make you god. Everyone has their own view and that view is neither right or wrong.

Ignorance destroys music.

I think you're right, but it wouldn't hurt to have a list compiled so you can take a quick look for ideas of what to teach. Just my thought on it.

How is Money easier than Paranoid? There's a ton of crazy bends and odd timings in the solo.

I suppose, but IMHO it'd be far more effective to first ask the kids what they like then get them basic solos based on their preference. Doesn't make sense to teach a kid Green Day if they like country, for instance. They won't be as interested if they don't enjoy what they're playing.

this.

idk some people could find a lot of things easier than others...

i know my hands are tiny, and thus a solo on the higher frets would be much easier for me... and that's not even judging skill

even if it's "generally" easy or "generally" hard, it just all depends.

P.S. I'm a womanfolk! : )

i dont teach everyone the same stuff i have 8 year old emo kids to 65 year old blues fans

in reference to american idiot its about 180bpm but its probably a bit easier this is a rough list

Bite your tongue. I'm all for Kurt Cobain, but you cant say that he's the only one who plays with feeling in that list. John Frusciante is one of the most emotive guitarists I've ever heard. Just listen to Californication. Its one of the easiest solos anyone has ever played, but its full of emotion and feeling.

Do the Neil Young one where the solo is like one note over and over again.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

Well, it's called a solo. If they call it a solo, I call it a solo.

Don't do those songs where you're only teaching them part of the song. I'd be pissed if I was just taught how to play some of a song, instead of being able to play all the way through another song.
