What's a good Jazz guitar + Jazz Combo amp? I have about a 1500 limit overall. Any help would be nice. Thanks.

i have a fender hot rod deluxe i use in my jazz combo at school. works for me.

and a guitar would be personal preference for the most part. stay away from metal oriented guitars, but things like say, fenders, or even a les paul, is fair game.
My Gear:
Gibson Faded Flying V
"Dante's Inferno" Iceman
Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112
etc.

I can't imagine anything worse than shagging to Mark Knopfler.

Maybe shagging Mark Knopfler, but that's about it.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.
