Hi guys,

sooo I've been on a buying trip recently, I've got myself a Krank Rev Pro Jr, and a OCD to push some lighter tones on its clean channel, (yeah the kleen channel's pretty saturated with gain, and it ain't the cleanest channel around, but the alternative would be to run the OCD into a Spider Valve, which I ain't prepared to do).

Next on my shopping list would be the MXR 10 band EQ.

But before the MXR, I want to get myself a compressor.

I am looking to get a compressors which is pretty versatile, and has true bypass. Don't want a digital compressor, if there's such a thing.

Any suggestions?

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.

all of the suggestion you have gotten are excellent!...i am a compressor freak..i have 3 of them!!...ha!..why does anyone need 3 compressors??..i dont know...

i love analog compressors...and tube compressors are my favorite!!..but theres a trade off..there pricey and there noisey,..(all tube driven compressors are.)

if i was you i would try as many of them as you can find...

the mxr (dyna comp-super comp's) are an industry standard,..very nice units..i would probably go with this as your first compressor.

i have the following compressors

boss cs-3
vox snake charmer
mxr dyna comp

good luck

visual sound 66. it has a really good compression almost like a vintage ross or a dyna comp with a tone control and an on off switch for the tone pot. i have the route 66 which has a ts808 clone in it and has a bass boost. (borat voice)it's verry nice, i like.
