I'm going to be switching out my passive pickups in my guitar kit strat.

You can skip the next "paragraph" if you dont care about details and just want to explain to me if there will be any extra trouble.

It has an EMG passive humbucker in the bridge, and the middle and neck are both the stock single coils.
I am planning to switch the passive EMG with a seymour duncan livewire, and the neck single coil with a single coil seymour duncan livewire.
For the middle pickup i plan on just taking it out and leaving it empty, because i never use my middle pickup, and i am not going to go passive/active and have all different pots. Plus I could techinically have my selector as a killswitch right?

Will i be needing to go to extra work because i am putting in actives? I'm assuming i will need to switch the pots?

here the pickups, which come as a kit: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Seymour-Duncan-LWHS1N-LiveWire-Classic-SingleCoil-Active-Pickup?sku=300029

thanks in advance

you'll need to change your pots and your input jack and that should be it oh and you also have to find some space for the 9v battery and yes your pickup selector can be a kill switch

thanks, luckily, the pickups come with pots and an imput jack and all that other stuff, so all i need to do is buy a soldering gun.
