but before you do, do a search on them here

Your like a mother who lets her children touch the inside of the oven to learn a lesson now arent you?

if it was me, i would go with roland> I find marshalls small amps to be junk. Rolands small amps are quite a good value.

for delay, you want the 20 x model or a delay pedal.

yes but advantage for MG is that it has delay a cube doesnt

advantage for the roland cube is that it sounds rather awesome unlike the MG although that's my own personaly opinion you should always try it out yourself.

Get the MG it has CRUSHING OVERDRIVE and its louder and has effects!
#17
ok because it sounds like shit?

Its overpriced, for the same price you can get better amps.

the distortion is fuzzy and lacks any kind of definition, I play 7 srings, and its mud city playing through one of those amps.

The effects are definatly not worth writing home about, neither are the cleans.

The MG's distortion is terrible. It's very muddy. The clean's are sorta flat sounding to me, and just not very good. The Roland has pretty good cleans for a cheap ss, and the distortion is better than the MG's, but not all that great.

Cons-
- Very unfavorabe tone
- Poor cleans
- Poor OVer Drive
- Subpar Distortion

I had a MG100HDFX halfstack once, and it sounded pretty decent, but as I later discovered their sound is actually pretty awefull compared to other amps within the same pricerange!

MG is, and will always be, some expensive junk. The built in effects works okay, but you'll be better of with some external effects. Go for the Cube or save up some more money and buy something even better. In the long run you'll regret buying the MG (even if you like it at first you'll sooner or later be kicking yourself for buying it!)

hope that was usefull....

Why are you so horny about delay?
And the built-in stuff on the amps doesn't really let you do too much with the delay.
So get a cube, and try out w/e delay pedals are in your budget if you really need one

You come forum and ask for advise on whch amp you get.
Every single person that replys tells you Choise A.

Yet you go with Choise B.

You are a living contradiction.

30watts isnt really double 15 watts at all, read the gear sticky on amps and you will understand. The difference will be barely noticeable. I'd say go for a hybrid amp like a Vox valveotronix, it has delay andddd it sounds better than both of the mentioned amps.

This thread needs to get off the bandwagon

A 30watt MG sounds much better than the 15watt cubes. Bigger magnet coil, does 2 decent sounds instead of 6 poor sounds.

The only cubes worth buying are the 30watt and higher. The 30x and higher have the upgraded models, a larger magnet, and a few more effects and controls onboard. The MG's under over 30 watts are the ones that are a waste of money. The MG's take pedals much better than the cubes. The Marshall MG and all of crate's solid state amps have an extremely transparent clean channel. This is usually disliked because of the lack of warmth; however, this works great with a distortion or modeling unit because the amp works like a poweramp instead of a preamp+poweramp.

For that price definatly MG. If you can get a cube 30x, go for that instead.

Ive played the two next to oneanother and really liked the cube :O

Plus the MG is not a crate product. Thats the GT, GTD, ect.
The MG is a Marshall product.
