Ok, just looking for some suggestions from people much better at this than I am (that would be YOU). What would be a good scale / mode to use writing a lead over an Em, A sus2, C chord progression? You can hear what I have so far in my profile: http://profile.ultimate-guitar.com/furin121/music/ .

If it's not too much to ask could you also explain why that scale or mode would be good to use? I'm still very much in the beginning stages of composing and theory so I'd like to understand the reason/s. But I'd be more than happy to take any suggestions you are willing to offer.

Thanks

A lot of music isn't really going anywhere. There are tons of fans in here going 'oh my god, <> is evolving so much and <> is so shit lol!' but tons of it is just recycled material and tired ideas.

Well something along the lines of a casual steve vai sound (if that makes sense). Little rocking but somewhat calm and relaxed.

E natural minor scale should do you fine.
