This may be a dumb question but I'm curious about what would happen. Would it just not work and there would be no sound, or would would the amp explode?
#2
it will sound like playing through the clean channel of a guitar amp.
i used to be a mod, then i took an arrow in the knee.

Search bar please??

Its often a desired sound. Prime example - Fender Bassman. A bass amp that is used by more guitarists than bassists.

Nuff said.

But in all seriousness, it'll be just fine.

You will get the Uber Bottom End sound that could cut the heads off of bats, no biting needed and knock down the walls of an innere city apartment.

I almost bought a peavey TNT Bass amp because it sounded so sweet.

Actually it could have a range of different sounds. If you own an Eden bass cab for instance, it would sound close to a guitar cab with more bottom end. If you own an Ampeg it would be muddy, but very bass heavy. Also if you have an adjustable hporn tweeter on the cab you'd want to turn it down or off to avoid extreme icepicking from the cabinet. Sounds great for heavy blues and chug tones though.

people always told me not to use a guitar in bass amp or a bass in guitar amp, but it's never been a problem. I just have a real crappy bass amp, so i use my guitar's

It's fine. One of the most famous guitar amps is a bass amp. Yeap the Fender Bassman, which was the basis for the JTM45 and in a sense also the Marshall Plexi.

I do it all the time run a bass amp in stereo with a guitar amp. Bass amp sounds better than the guitar amp.

Wait, so how would you guys compare the sound of a fender am strat through a fender blues junior to a Roland 30 Bass amp? Which would sound better on clean (or at least what would be the difference sound-wise between the two)?
Equipment:
-Ibanez GIO
-Fender American Standard Strat HSS
-Acoustic Schneider Guitar
-ARIA STB-PB-DX Bass
-Vox VT50AD-XL
-Roland Cube-30 Bass
-Digitech RP-250
-Blue guitar pick
