I have this song I downloaded that was labeled "Metallica Rare" but it's not, I don't know the name of the band, and not to sure of the name of the song.

I know that gives you alot to go by, and I can't upload the song on my profile, "Tried that already" I had to take it down

The I-phone has a program that can identify songs, but didn't pull this one up.

So the question is....

Is there another program on the net that can identify a song, by typing in the lyrics or by other means?

Go onto a metal lyric site or something. Most have a lyric search bar.

Type in as many decipherable lyrics as possible, then scroll through the results. That's what I usually do.

I think www.darklyrics.com has a similar function, I know it's sister site (plyrics.com) certainly does.

If you were trying to find Blitzkrieg Bop, but didn't know the band or song title, go to google and type in:

lyrics for "Shoot them in the back now"

and The Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop will pop up.

Now replace "Shoot them in the back now" with some lyrics from the song, that should do it.
