No good editing software is free.

Sony Vegas/Adobe Premier is where it's at.

I have quite a few Adobe products from a friend who got them on a student loan and they are very good, After Effects, Premier etc

Sony Vegas is also good and i bought that myself but i found a few bugs and it crashes sometimes.
