i hav an epi les paul standard and i hav atiny problem but it still really annoys me.
when i play a note on the 13th fret of the high e string i get almost no sustain at all but on any other string or fret i get plenty of sustain.
can any1 giv me a reason or a solution for this problem.

the fret might be a little dented.
the string might be dented.
the fret might be crooked there.

Get a small allen wrench. on the bridge of you guitar the tiny screws need to be screwed in tighter. You can do it with your fingers too I guess...

he doesnt need to raise his action^ fix his fretboard^ or check for neck relief^

it's one spot on one string and one fret.


raising your action or adjusting your relief, for one spot will throw it all off,
