Hey there.
If i touch my volume knob, it'll start making cracking sounds...
And if i actually manage to find a volume, it'll shuffle around different soundlevels... very strange.. ( It's like, stepless, but the scale is like, 0 to 1, 1 to 4, 4 to 3, 3 to 6, and so on, you know what i mean, it's like, setting it on, 1, doesnt make it sound like a 1 would )
It's a line6 SV HD100 top .
My cabinet couldnt make it do that right? I only have to bring in the amp right?

go to radioshack, spend $10 on "tuner cleaner" spray it under the knob (don't open the amp, just use the little nozzle to spray it under the knob) and then turn the knob through it's range a few times. Cleans off the contacts and lubs the pot. It helped with my Vox and the pots on my pedals and guitars (all guitarist should have this stuff, easier and cheaper than letting your pots go bad and replacing them).

if that doesn't work, if may need a new pot, at which point: take it in.

learning to do it yourself =
and saves you money, just another thing all guitarist should have: the capbability to setup their own instruments.
