I just came up with this idea.

It's along the vein of "Answer the UGer above you's question" threads however:

RULES:

1. Keep your questions short but interesting. Yes or No question format strongly encouraged.

2. Keep your answers short. Answer the question, and in the next sentence BRIEFLY say why if you want to explain your answer. Briefly.

3. Take every answer at face value, and move on to the next questions. If you want to offer a rebuttal, PM it to the person.

4. In your response, quote the question so we know what you're answering.

5. ASK A QUESTION when you're done with your response, other wise you're not contributing to the thread.

The object is to keep the thread flowing forward, not bouncing back and forth.

There are no specific topics. It does NOT all have to be political, religious, philisophical, current world events, etc. We can have micro-music debates, micro-movie debates, micro-Guitar brand debates, etc. We can micro-debate everything!

Example:
Do you support gun ownership rights?

Yes, but not for felons and not for assault rifles.

I'll get the ball rolling.
Do you think the news media should report less murder/crime stories?

No. The public should know what is going on.

Ill go with your question and ask if you support gun ownership.

Do you think the alcohol age limit should be raised?

No. Enough people get in trouble at 21+. We don't need drunk 18 (or whatever age it would be) year olds driving around.

No, it's fine where it is, (21? US? I dunno about England.)

We can't just stop buying foreign oil. Even if we drill everywhere in our borders, we will still rely heavily on foreign oil until we are off of it completely.

Not until we have something to replace foreign oil with, but reduction of foreign oil use should be a priority.

Do you like playing through fender amplifiers?

Yes and no. Yes, in the long run, but it needs phasing out. If we stopped altogether it'd be disastrous. Especially in the UK.

Yes, a man and a woman are legally the same and so a gay couple should have the same rights as a straight couple.

No, it would improve nothing, the fresh 18 year old drivers would be just as inexperinecd as the 16 year old ones.
