I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

the second song you can hear the bass a little better at the beginning, He just has an unmistakable bass tone that I love. Any spazz fans here? I saw municipal waste last Friday and one of the opening acts had a similar tone, ****ing rad.

low bass, it seems. lots of gain. very plain, trebly overdrive, not so much fuzz, I think.

^ I agree, sounds like a ton of trebly overdrive, like if crank the tube preamp gain to high heaven on my traynor YBA200 and then also hit the bright switch( a tonal travesty for my music, but it fits when your guy uses it).

Maybe he's using a guitar overdrive pedal? THen again I see nothing on the floor in front of him in the first vid.... then again I couldn't watch/listen to the first vid for more than 2.8 seconds.

lots of Mids and treble... barely any bass, and crank some overdrive/distortion. with some extra treble and mids.

I'd add a touch of the low end so its a bit more noticeable. not much, maybe about, 3 .5 or 4.
