3.5

I've been playing for nearly 5 years.

You're assuming that everyone wants to master sweeping and tapping and all the technical aspects of guitar playing though. I just want to write good songs.

Seriously, I think I may be about a 6 or 7, because I can strum all patterns pretty much, and play some of the hardest songs around.

Well if 5 is the average professional band guitarist (since a lot of guitarists aren't that great), I'd say I'm a 3.5.

Better than hooked on crack, I suppose. I'd rather know my kids are safe at home beating their meat than out in the world robbing old women for their crack fix.

I would say about 5 on my rhythm playing, I know just about all the chord shapes, and about 2.5 on my lead playing. I've been playing for about a year now.
#29
Hmm, been playing nearly 12 years... I guess I'm about a 4/10.

I have to say 69. But as for playing skill, i haven't a clue. I can play most things with practice, but need to work on speed. and i don't care about speed, i just like writing strange and beautiful riffs and/or songs.
Soon, death metal's drums will be so fast only computers will be able to listen to it.

94? Not bad. It shall improve >=)

I'd say around a 4... maybe a bit more or less depending on what aspect of guitar.
#35
About a 4. But I'm really not sure what each of these mean, there's not enough reference. Is a 4 like a player who just got out of the newb level, or a pro musician, or an amazing player that still hasn't learned every little detail yet?
#36
π

I'm more interested in the music rather than speed/technique.

1 being a noob and 10 being how good I intend to get...

2.5

but music is not a hobby for me. I write, record and play semi-professionally, and that will hopefully end up being fully professionally, so intend to end up pretty ****in awesome.

EDIT: I'm moving out of home and moving in with some friends and we're setting up a professional home studio, so this next year is gonna be pretty much a year of solid writing and practice.

EDIT2: which means no more pit!!!!
