So for my birthday, I got some cash... I was thinking about getting the hot rails pickup for my telecaster to put in the bridge. I like the tone I have now but, I know I also need a new amp. I can save until christmas and I could probably get around $500-700, if I keep saving. So, I don't know if I should save and get a better amp at christmas, or get a pickup now, and a lesser quality amp at christmas.

Any helps appreciated

Save for a new amp, both the ones you have now are terrible, no offense. 5-700 can buy you a nice amp, especially if you go used.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

My general rule, for myself personally, is that unless the guitar is REALLY awful, always go for an amp.

Your Ash strat doesn't sound like it sucks.
