Well, in the Western music system at least, all chords are built by harmonising the major scale.

So perhaps your most used chords are a Major Triad, a Major 7th, and a Minor 7th?

Are you talking about the following;

Major, Minor, Minor, Major, Major, Minor, Diminished?

Or;

Major 7, Minor 7, Minor 7, Major 7, Dominant 7, Minor 7, Minor 7b5?

The harmonisation of the Major scale with triads/7th chords, giving you all the diatonic chords in a given key.
