i want to get a pedal for more rock like overdrive. for the less high gain stuff. to play like Led Zepp, Coheed and other hard rock music. i was thinkin about a Boss OD-3, is there anything that can do it better?

If you want a stand-alone pedal then perhaps the Boss Blues Driver, I use an OD3 but in conjunction with my amp, it's not all that great on it's own.

I came up with this kick ass riff on my ukelele when I was 12. Find out two years later, it was smoke on the water. Got my hopes and dreams killed..

Distortion doesn't sound "bluesy"...how you play determined whether you sound bluesy or not. The BD2 is a better pedal for what you want than the OD3, having said that there's better pedals made by other manufacturers.
