Ok so, im getting a new bridge pickup for my LP, and it would look silly without a pickup cover, is it any harder than just taking the pickup cover off of my old one, and putting on the new one?

How would I do this? And will the screw holes almost always match up?
I have also heard that you need to solder it, but I have no soldering iron.
