Letter From a Moose

Yesterday, you wouldn't believe what I got in the mail,
It was like gettin shot with a rubber bullet in the chest,
A plastic knife in my heel and a styrafoam sword through my hand.
They say you shouldn't belive it, if its too good to be true,
I guess I'm still a sucker 'cause I read it through and through.

My friends, they said I went crazy, that I had a few screws loose.
But I know I'm not insane, cause I got proof,
I know that, I know that I got a letter from a moose.

Well this moose, his name was Ted,
He came from Canada, He said he was pure bred.
He came to ask for help, he came to ask for a friend.
And I'm not the kind to leave an unanswered call.
So I told my friends to leave with me this fall.

My friends, they said I went crazy, that I had a few screws loose.
But I know I'm not insane, cause I got proof,
I know that, I know that I got a letter from a moose.

When I got to his place, you should've seen his face,
That moose didn't what was goin' on
When he recognized me, When he realized me,
He said, I think you're lookin' for the fawn.
It was then that awoke to what was goin' on.

My friends, they said I went crazy, that I had a few screws loose.
But I know I'm not insane, cause I got proof,
I know that, I know that I got a letter from a moose.

This is silly.
I liked:
It was like gettin shot with a rubber bullet in the chest,
A plastic knife in my heel and a styrafoam sword through my hand.

Although I didn't really understand how it was relevant.

Thanks, I guess I tried to be kind of deep or something. It was just a line that I had wanted to use for a while. It was supposed to show how I felt when I saw the letter in the mail.

nicely done, well written and executed.

when I was younger, I looked out of my friend's bedroom window and a moose was staring at me, our faces maybe six inches apart, separated only by glass. moose came into our yards all the time, that was no big deal, hell, we walked with them to school sometimes, but this guy was looking at me, studying me. then he turned and walked into the woods.

true story, with no relevance here, but I like telling it.

good job

Thanks haha, thats pretty funny. I've never seen a moose in real life, except for like dead moose heads on the walls of hunter's houses. But I have been to Canada
