I can KINDA tell the difference between emo and hardcore... but what's the major difference? I'm confused :S

Is Enter Shikari hardcore? Or emo?

Epic facepalm

EDIT:
Emo is a subgenre of hardcore. It spawned in the 80s in DC with bands like Rites of Spring and Embrace. Enter Shikari is neither emo or hardcore. The major difference is that emo is more melodic and emotional than hardcore.

^ Well played.

Enter Shikari are neither hardcore nor emo. Poppy rock isn't either.
No gods, no countries, no masters.
More guitar, less Ultimate-Guitar.

Least he bothered asking. My 14 year old brother has to put up with kids walking round thinking Enter Shikari are a grindcore band.

Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullsh*t in order to be comfortable?

That's when you know you found somebody special. When you can just shut the f*ck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.
