I'm very curious, With the Fender necks I relise that they route the truss rod from the back of the neck, but the koa strip which goes down the back of the neck which covers up the truss rod doesn't go all the way down the neck. So how does Fender get the truss rod to the nut? If you look at a picture the koa does not reach the nut, there is still a gap... Do they use a drill to drill the rest of the way?
Thanks in advance...
Yeah they either drill in from the nut or the heel, depending on where it is adjusted.
