I need some songs with simple drums for my band's drummer who's a newbie. Think of anything like Def Leppard.

Any ideas?

Learn an AC/DC song.

Alternatively, learn the entire AC/DC back catalogue.

It amounts to much the same thing.

Rose Tattoo are fairly simple, too.
So, on that basis, Airbourne would be well within reach, too(in fact, you'd probably learn them by learning AC/DC).

I find playing Metallica's drums hard...

Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All, all have great drumming on the albums, this guys just being a jackass because he believe a good drummer has to use double bass 24/7.

Honestly, most mainstream music has easy drums, any band you find on MTV, and almost every single punk band has easy drums.

Mastodon drumming is easy in that it's only the snare, hi-hat and small tom (mostly). It's the speed that catches most drummers out.

"The Wolf Is Loose" is a fun song on the drums. Hell, it's a fun son all around! There's a cool drum solo in the intro!

any shit by snoop dawg, soulja boy, 50cent, usher, *insert shitty unimaginative mainstream rapper here*

they basically all use bass-snare-bass-snare with the odd cymbal to start or end the song

if you want to play something that is actually classed as music but has easy drums, i suggest some of metallica's stuff, nightwish maybe, iron maiden, basically all metal that has not come from norway

Ticks and Leeches.

I can play it with one hand!

But on a serious note, A lot of Pink FLoyd songs are relatively simple.

Appetite for Destruction. It's not easy in a bad sense. It's just simple and straight forward. No unnecessary bullshit. Just drumming. Good drumming.
