but does anyone out there make a small, portable battery powered bass amp? Something around the size of a Roland microcube? I ask because I'm looking to play bass with acoustic people in out side enviroments and stuff like that. Plus it would be really nice to be able to throw it in my backpack because it would be murder lugging a bass amp everywhere.

The bass micro cube is really the only one i can think of. I have heard good things about it you should give it a look.
Rickenbacker 4003
Carvin 210 Neo
Ampeg V4BH

Pignose H50. Not overly loud but good for small jam groups, esp. with acoustic guitars.

The Roland bass micro cube RX.

And some Phil Jones Bass combo's (briefcase, flightcase, suitcase), but they're quite expensive.

Those are the only ones I can think of.

This. But I have heard it is rather cheaply made.
