New pickup day! Ok i know it's slighty strange to post a picture of a new pickup but this one is special Miracle man which should give me the kind of tone Gilbert had in his racer X days but with more versatility than the dimarzio super distortion, camo finish, here goes!

Oooo it's arrived!
http://i34.tinypic.com/20azziv.jpg

Lets open her up

Picture of her behind

How it might look

Now to order Mothers Milk and The Mule also in camo

and here they are!!

Bridge = Miracle man = Gilbert tones

Middle = Mother's milk= Hendrix tones

Neck = Mule = SRV tones

Will be going in this

lol cheers for clearing that up, i know but when you do (im assuming your planning on installing them eventually, although i wouldn't blame you for just looking at them cause they're sexy) get some clips!

excellent! that actually looks pretty nice against the white guitar.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

Cool, I don't dig the camo but I'm sure it'll sound sick.

i generally don't like camo either, but it looks very cool against the white (in my opinion).

when you first said you wanted a camo colored pup in your other thread (the one about adding the ace card sticker) - i was like 'eewwwww'.

but it doesn't look that bad. Pics and clips when it's all done!

That looks surprisingly good, considering how awful camo pickups normally are. Also, I hope it sounds good, post clips and pics when you've finished!

Unexpected PGM ftw.

That should look pretty cool. Why weren't you happy with the stock pickups though ;P

Paf pro in Bridge- lacks balls

Paf pro in neck- too high output

If you ever decide against the camo, it'll polish off with some mag polish and some elbow grease. My camo Nailbombs have the finish polished off of the edges, but that's more of a wear and tear issue than anything else.

By asking Tim at bare knuckle who happens to be the guy who makes the pickups, guess that's how

Mostly the neck, or neck/middle, or middle pickups afaik. Whatever he used, it was 95% likely to be a single coil of a very special type. The typical SRV token-tone single coil would be low-output, degaussed magnets, alnico V polepieces, formvar wire, shellac potted single coil. The Mule is a medium output, non-degaussed magnets, alnico V bar magnets, poly wire, wax potted humbucker. So... yeah

yeah. my guess is that tim told him the best pickup for the neck, considering it had to be a humbucker...
