Necrophagist
Dying Fetus
Aborted
The Faceless
The Red Shore

About time we've gotten this (ALL CREDIT GOES TO MAGERO FOR TELLING ME THIS), and it's worth the $85 for it. Hopefully Dred (Australian tech death/groove band) will join the Sydney show.

Hitting the five usual places (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth) I think, check out the myspace.

Shows -
Friday March 13th - Sydney, Manning Bar AA
Saturday March 14th - Brisbane, The Red Room AA
Sunday March 15th - Adelaide, Fowlers AA
Monday March 16th - Perth, Club Capital 18+
Tuesday March 17th - Melbourne, The Corner Hotel 18+

what lovely names they have.

Never mind that, bar Dying Fetus, they're all terrible bands. It's as bad as the British version.

And it'll get busy crowds, I do despair.

I'm surprised Psycroptic isn't on the bill...

The Faceless isn't bad, Necrophagist is good, and Aborted USED to be awesome.

Huh... that's true, I didn't even think about that...
We invented Psycroptic and we don't even get them on a tour they've already done.

Waitwaitwait... you mean... a death metal festival getting actual support is a bad thing?

Lucky bastards.

The British Summer Slaughter was shite.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

Have fun, Aussies. Looks like a good show.

I think they're saving up Psycroptic to be part of the US tour *crosses fingers*

either that or Spawn of Possession... all I can do is hope.

But yah, I would go mostly just for Necro & Dying Fetus, and Faceless would be fun to see too... other than that... not really.

Dying Fetus are amazing, Necrophagist are good, Aborted used to be good, and i don't care about anything else there. Well, i suppose that the Faceless are decent.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.
#14
Aborted's new music is pretty dull, but they still put on an amazing show when I saw them.

i guess they could be good live. Ever since the Archaic Abbatoir, or whatever it was, they've bored me. it's a shame, cause i actually love their old stuff.

Mmm, this is better than the Britsh leg, not as good as the American ones (at least first US tour and Canadas'.)
#17
Psycroptic are touring here with Whitechapel in January, so they're probably just in for that.

I'm trying to figure out what death metal bands would support from Sydney... Double Dragon? Dred?

Psycroptic will be overseas on tour at the time so they weren't available for this tour.

I'm just wondering, is it summer during March in Australia? And I would totally go to this to see Necrophagist, Dying Fetus and The Faceless. Never listenend to The Red Shore before and don't really care for Aborted though.

Summer in Australia is December- Feb (The Northern Hemisphere's winter).. so TECHNICALLY they've missed summer by 2 weeks and this should be Autumn Slaughter... :p

But it's only just after summer, so still passable I think...

Lucky lucky people. I wish I could've gone to the edmonton one...Sadly, I was too young, and still am!

Oh well, have fun for those who are going

Wow, that's the exact opposite of the US. It's winter here while it's summer there. And Autumn Slaughter doesn't flow as well as Summer Slaughter Just noticed the first date is the day after my birthday as well, so I would barely be old enought to get in.

You lucky ****s, I would kill someone to go to that gig, want to see all the bands on their except for Dying Fetus... Oh well, it's not as good as the UK version
#29
You're kidding right?
This one kicks the shit out of the UK version.
We're getting Suicide Silence next week, As Blood Runs Black next Jan, The Berzerker next January (again), Abigail Williams new album is boring and Born of Osiris suck.
We get Necro-goddamn-fagist, The Faceless, The Red Shore, Abored and Dying Fetus.
We win.

Love necrophagist, love the red shore, and the facelss arnt to bad
Shows gonna rock
But pretty expensive
SHE walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

It's the only way to pull off bringing 4 big international death metal bands over on the one tour unfortunately.

Each of these bands would be $40-50 each if you saw them at their own shows, so $90 for all of them is still pretty decent.

this is true

also touring companies are less likely to bring out international artists in this economy, i heard "the price is to expensive to bring out international artists as well as lisencing" stupid economy
