I think it was an HBO special or something. My history teacher showed it to us in the 10th grade, that was a while ago so I can't just ask him. It was probly made around year 2000 or so and I would say that movie is the WWI equilivant to Saving Private Ryan. Any ideas?

No idea, sounds pretty interesting though. I can't think of many modern First World War films, Regeneration is the last one I discovered, and that is just perfect.

I can think of lost battalion and all quiet on the western front.
I was watching the lost battalion one time and whenever someone dies the officer comes around and takes off their dogtags.
So my mate says 'HEY,he's stealing their car keys'
And then this idiot goes 'urh, there dogtags'
Seagulls,the chicken of the ocean.
