It helps ALOT if you can actually remember what happened in casino royal. I sure couldnt.
I thought it was a good action movie, but it wasn't very bond-like... although i guess the way it wasnt your typical bond fitted in with the plot...
#5
i just saw it and being a pretty big bond fan i have to say it was a disappointment, i guess i expected much more but other than that it just seemed lacking and felt really short

Sean Connery was, and still is, the penultimate James Bond.

I think this fellow, Daniel, is far from the Top 3.

Prob see it on DVD

It'l be better quality and I an pause it for a piss.

I dunno, I actually liked Pierce Brosnan the best.

Prob Pierce, he was a beast

Roger Moore was damn cool as well though.

i actually read casino royale and let me tell you i did not imagine a pretty boy like pierce brosnan and instead the james bond daniel craig portrays is pretty accurate to the book so I think he's much better than pierce. Sean Connery did a great job molding the character of Bond and setting an example for the others but i think casino royale took a big risk and was successful. Quantum felt really forced and the plot was just way too overhyped lets hope bond 23 is better

Yeah but everybody prefers fun James Bond over "serious" James Bond.

I miss the innuendos with Money Penny and the ol' banter with Q
"There are millions of people in the world, and none of those people are an extra. They're all leads in their own stories."

dissapointing.

Penultimate means 'second best'

No, it means second to last, ie: the penultimate lap in a grand prix race is the lap proceeding the final lap.

Casino Royal sucked so hard there's little chance i will see this one. I don't mind some of the older Bond films, just never really floated my boat.

Then just go and watch the last 20 Bond films, which would be the only effect of making another one... we really don't need another.

Amerifags need to learn to keep up with the world. Everyone has already seen it. It's OK, I think Craig is a better Bond than Brosnan.

That's a given. I've not seen it yet, but this new serious Bond is a bit of a double edged sword. It was an improvement from the camp self parody stuff, the action was tighter and more realistic - to a certain extent - and Craig is a decent Bond. But it's pretty humourless now, which isn't what Bond should be; and for a spy film which is trying to be more gritty it's still too flashy, all the Astons, and falling through glass rooves while still punchign each other etc.

if i dont go see it, ill get it as soon as it is out on dvd.

I hated Casino Royale. There was a marathon on TV yesterday showing Goldeneye, the World is not enough, and Tomorrow never dies. Those are great. Pierce and Sean FTW!

Going to the movies alone is coo, it's just sitting in the dark not talking so being with people doesn't make a difference. I'm probably gonna wait till the DVDs out because I didn't really like Casino Royale.

I saw it. It was very good, but I like the old ones better. These are more action films, whereas the old ones were more spy (i.e. gadgets have disappeared)
grok it.
