They're playing here in Dallas tomorrow night, but I can't make it to that one. Will they come back to Dallas next year?
If I replace the control knobs with the exact same kind that were on there, would the guitar still be considered all original? I am doing this because the ones that are on there have the paint coming off of the numbers and it looks ugly. It's a MIM Fender Strat.

Thanks!

Have you heard of the Classic Rock board?

Have you heard of the "Safe Search" on Google? It's blockin' all ma tits!
Have you heard Good Times, Bad Times by Led Zeppelin? Don't you just love the fast ascending pentatonic lick Jimmy does in the middle of the solo? Well it's pissing me off! I've been trying to get this lick right for a several MONTHS! I can play things way more difficult, but not this one! This may sound kinda weird, but I think my body trying to prevent me from playing this lick, well just the first 3 notes. Every time I try to pick these notes (A---14-12-14---), my hand just refuses to play it, like it just stutters. I also get this weird, tickling feeling in my spine! I can play it on ALL the other frets except 12th and 14th! Well anyway it's definitely F'd up. Maybe Page cursed it so only he can play it? Any help guys?
I am currently trying to learn all 5 positions of the minor pentatonic scale. In most video lessons, they use A minor to teach you. This has confused me. Are all the positions just for A minor, or is it where you have start on the root note of whatever key you're playing in of each position and all positions stay the same?

Thanks guys.
I don't want to sound just like SRV (hell yes i do), but how can i get close to his type of sound tone wise.

i have a '95 fender strat and a behringer amp v tone. the amp has clean, drive, low mid, high, and built in effects. what is the best setting for my guitar and amp to get his tone.

thanks

He uses mostly the blues scale. Having said that, using the same scale as someone will not make you sound like them.

I don't wan't to sound like SRV, I just want to know what scales he mostly uses. I'm just trying to see what the most common scales are that well known guitarist use.

I have a knock-off strat (not a squire) and the neck is fairly thick. Do the standard strats (mexican-made) have thick necks?

Thanks.

No...

The pup costs almost as much as the guitar. There's no point in putting such an expensive pup in such a cheap and very likely bad guitar.Get a used USA or MIJ model from the 80's if you want a Kramer.

Ok. Where do you get those Kramers?
Do the Scorpions and AC/DC fall into the same category genre wise.
Is that beautiful master piece by Eric Johnson in a certain key? It just seems all over the place.

Thanks.
To write grunge music, do you have to be from Seattle? It seems like every grunge band were formed in Seattle. Are there no new grunge bands? Is it dying?
Has anyone ever taken a break from guitar? I have been playing for 4 months, and I have been playing a lot and now im exhausted from it. Does this mean I don't like it or should quit playing it?

Thanks.
i have been playing for 5 months. i can play some of cliffs of dover. the intro of it is what i consider challenging
I listen to Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Johnson, Buckethead, and more of those kind of guitarist.

Do you recomend any fun, not to challenging, songs to learn that kinda falls into that category.

What does something mean when its in parentheses like (8)
in some tab i see that but dont hear that note in the song. what is it?!

What is the blues scale? And it is commonly used in blues music?
What does it mean when somebody says something like flat 5th? What is a flat and what is a 5th?

Thank you.
I'm pretty confused so please help. I know the pentatonic scale and i can improvise well on it and it sounds very bluesy. but is it blues? do you have to use the blues scale to play blues? and also if im playing with a blues backing track that is in E, do i have to play in E? and why? And what does it mean when a back track is in E? If one is in another letter like G, do i have to play in G?

Thank you
