I'm just posting to say that I say the other jetfuel thread (jetfuel4whateedswae) that contained a BJ/vomit pic in the OP.

I know I'm not the only one who saw it, there were two replies...

P.S. TH3M BON3Z is a racist douche.

EDIT: Aww, that was scat, and not vomit? chghchghchgheeauauauaughghgh......
I saw Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes, and Susan Tedeschi in the mix. Not only do I like Obama, but I like seeing him in good company.
Right on.

Must've clicked a misleading link, huh?

Nudge nudge, wink wink.

Ouch...

Being that (I'm sure) you rely pretty heavily on your computer for school work, that's gotta suck. A lot.
^ S'all good, brotha.

Delved any deeper into Ryan Adams' stuff yet? I know you said you were waiting for school...

What the fuck is this? You're not whoomit.

I do what I want.

Besides, what do you want on short notice?
That video was kinda lame, actually. I think he would've raged harder if he really meant it.

With a title like that, you'd think he was poised to invade Poland or something...
TS is an aparent knob.

I'm aproaching a state of aproximate appathy.

My apraisal denies your aproval.

A ppox on thee.
^ I have my own copy of Magnificent Fiend, and I've heard my Dad's copy of their debut.

They're definitely a good band. My favorite song is "Dancers at the End of Time".

*Now, let's see this little EP...*

BTW, have you checked out the Mother Hips yet?

Mother Hips - White Falcon Fuzz
His next video should be about him driving around and eating DWI citations.

What a weird fuckin' dude... I almost pity him.
I haven't stolen anything in over 14 years now, but I used to be the Robin Hood of tobacco.

I used to steal cigarettes and lighters a lot when I was too young to buy them.

Ah, the 90's...

EDIT: @thegonia777 WTF...
Just grabbed that Howlin' Rain Link right now. Not even done with "Self Made Man" yet, and, ...holy fuckin' Humble Pie.

This is great.

EDIT: After Hearing "Phantom in the Valley", there's no way in hell I'm not buying this album.
I've been buying CD's since 1994.

Yep, 18 years.

I'm guessing I have 1100, or 1200. I tried counting them a few months ago, but I fucked up twice in the 900's and just got pissed at the idea of going again. It's numbing.

I had to build a new rack this past summer. It measures 3 feet by 6 feet and holds about 60% of my collection.

I don't have any pictures handy, but I could probably be nagged into taking and posting some.
My birthday is January 22nd, my mother's is April 18th.

I've been cracking jokes about being a birthday present for years now...
^ I've never seen Ryan Adams, but if I did, I'd love to hear "English Girls Approximately". I'm a little jealous... Is he going by his full name now? Or is "DRA" just something you like to do?

A solo Cooley show would be tits, I'd rather see him than Patterson.

Good to hear from you, by the way. How far into the Abyss have you been venturing?
(What have you been up to?)

Lol not saying it's bad that you didn't see it here. In fact, I think it's great that you didn't.

Luckier than most of us.

*is less pissed about working overtime than he was yesterday, Saturday, the morning after Friday night*
^ Christ, that's funny.

We all saw the stupid snow day one. He posted it here too.

Oh.

I see.

So... I guess... I... Hmmm...

Did I mention I have a full-time job? Complete with overtime?

/implied busyness.
[quote="'-[NiL"]-']I have some bad news for you...

Did you see that other video of his? The one about the Snow Day?

There is also a very informative video regarding the decoration of Christmas Trees...
^ You'd think a prophet would know how to pour a beer though.

Now I'm confused...

Just read that The Steepwater Band signed with Intrepid Artists. Looks like a really good deal for them.

I hope it brings them some better exposure. They deserve to go somewhere.

Joe (their drummer) told me that he's sick of playing bars and not getting anywhere. It's not that he doesn't like playing bars, it's that after ten years and a fair amount of recognition, it just makes him feel like he hasn't gotten anywhere. He said something like, "So one day you get a call from Warren Haynes and he asks you if you want to open up for Gov't Mule. And you think that this is it, we made it! But, in the next month you're playing the same bars again."

...

I just checked out the Intrepid website, they seem to have a respectable stable of artists. Walter Trout, Tishamingo, etc... This is good news.
Just gonna chime in to say that Walter Trout kicks a lot of ass.

That, and my Old Man just scored a copy of John Mayall and the Bluesbreaker's Chicago Line on vinyl. Not cheap...
Until about four years ago, I had smoked two packs a day for a number of years; I'd say from the ages of 19 to 27.

I've cut down to less than a pack a day.. Some days are even limited to a half-pack.

I'll likely quit within the next three years... I know I should, I started when I was 13, and I just turned 32 a few weeks ago. Do the math...

Defends reasoning for choosing poll option 2, as it is clearly the best choice.

^ As for Cold Roses, I'd keep "Beautiful Sorta", and drop "Blossom"...

...opinions...

I haven't listened to Heartbreaker in a long time, but I remember being bored. I should probably give it another shot. Hell, I don't like sauerkraut, but I still try it every now and then because; who knows?

Cardinology, I listened to it once. I agree, wholeheartedly.
I believe that the best way to get America back on it's feet would entail a big push for something technologically colossal.

I also believe that Newt Gingrich is a colossal cocksucker.

Ah, and what an efficient and necessary expense it's been.

Here's to 100 more!

I saw these guys open up for JJ Grey & Mofro last night in Milwaukee. I met half of the band and just had a real good time. Soul music is close enough to Blues & Jazz, so, here we go...

JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound - Baltimore Is The New Brooklyn

They've been doing an excellent and completely reinvented cover of a Wilco song too:

JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound - I Am Trying To Break Your Heart

EDIT: If you don't know who Mofro is, check this out:

JJ Grey & Mofro - Brighter Days
For you, the first thing I'd recommend would be Cold Roses. That's the first Cardinals album and it has Neal Casal on guitar; it also has "Let It Ride", which Phil & Friends have done since Adams' stint in the band.

The second one I'd recommend is Gold. It's a good mix of the things that Ryan is capable of, and a pretty solid album, to boot. Good songwriting, produced by Ethan Johns, good sequencing, and guests that include Adam Duritz & Chris Stills.

After that, I'd say check out Whiskeytown's Strangers Almanac. It's a great songwriters album with plenty of twang and rock, with more than a little darkness.

If you like those, I'll warn you that his other stuff has varying degrees of quirkiness and boredom, but there's a lot of good stuff mingled in with it too... I love the guy when he's on, but I have a few albums that are only good for a couple of songs...
So, I'm gonna do it again. Me and the Old Man ordered our VIP tickets this past Monday.

Hey Matt, Trigger Hippy is gonna be there...
What band(s) are you into the most? Is there some album art that you think would be great?

I intend to be sleeved with portraits and album art. I only have a portrait of Duane Allman right now, but I'll be getting more soon.

For instance, I'll be getting just the skeleton playing the fiddle here...

I've been dead for about forty-seven minutes now, and eventually, so will you.
Nobody has posted in this Forum for three days...

So... I was recently turned on to these guys...

I like 'em.
