Charvel Desolation DX-1 with a Floyd Rose

Well there's your problem.
My favorite band is also the Foo Fighters and I am also addicted to Dave Grohl, so I'll just tell you what I listen to.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Audioslave, Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders, Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants, The Black Keys, Muse, Queen, Queens of the Stone Age, Smashing Pumpkins, Tenacious D, Stone Temple Pilots, Chevelle, New Medicine, Cavo, Halestorm, The Offspring, Nirvana, Mumford & Sons, The Wallflowers, Avenged Sevenfold, The Killers, Soundgarden, Oasis.

Just to name a few
All Apologies - Nirvana

It's a pretty easy song but it took my a while to sing and play it.
Smells Like Teen Spirit.

Off-Topic - I freakin love Muse's new album, I've listened to it like 6 times in the past week. Discovered them on SNL when they played Madness and the guitar solo was the hook.
If you're looking for some pretty good distortion, especially Nirvanaish, I suggest a ProCo Rat or a DS-1 (Classic). My personal favorite is an Ibanez TS808 Tube Screamer, but they're kind of expensive.
Faith No More has some pretty epic songs......
As far as books and DVDs go, what would y'all suggest?
Everyone in my family has been bugging me on what I want for X-mas but I really have no Idea what I want. Some stuff about me: I'm 16, I listen to rock, I play guitar, Foo Fighters are my favorite band, I occasionally play video games, I love camping and hiking . If anyone could suggest something that would be great.
I've seen the Scorpions twice, those guys go crazy for as old as they are (65). I also saw Halestorm at the Carnival of Madness tour and they also had alot of energy.
I currently own a Dunlop trigger capo but it seems to have lost its tension, when I put it on the low E string has a slight buzz. Can someone suggest a good capo that would solve this problem?
Don't get a Floyd Rose or Floyd Rose copy.
I think i'm gonna ask another forum....
So all my life I've been hunting with only a shotgun. Recently bow hunting has gotten more and more popular in my community. On top of that there are only three shotgun seasons in Illinois and I'm not always available during those weekends. The place I hunt is two hours away but I know people closer to home that will allow me to bow hunt on their land. One problem though, I don't know a thing about bow hunting or bows. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction as far as a good, affordable bow to get.
I know that Epiphone ES-339 pros have coil taps that can allow you to switch between a single coil sound or a humbucker sound.
DG-335 all day long
I've been in a musical rut lately, just listening to the same stuff all the time. I normally listen to Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Kenny Wayne Shephard, SRV, Jimi Hendrix, The Wallflowers, Oasis, Green Day, RHCP, Chevelle, Halestorm, New Medicine, etc. I love blues and rock so can someone suggest me a new band to try and get in to?
I love the Ibanez TS808 but it would sound as good unless you play it through a tube amp.
If you plan on playing in the same tuning all the time I would suggest the Ibanez. I was a beginner once too and I bought an Ibanez knowing nothing about Floyd Rose tremolos and it was the biggest mistake I ever made. If you want something that is easier to maintain I would go with a fixed trem or even a strat but stay away from floyds.
Love the song!!! But I'm not sure what you need tips on.
I don't own a Blues Junior but I have played on them at my local music store and they sound great.
Just name it after a girl, like what the Allman Brothers did with the song Jessica.
There's a Foo Fighters song that uses a lute.
They're worth 1,900 dollars new and Musicians Friend is selling them used for about 1,600 dollars so I'd say it's a pretty good deal.
I started with the intro to Love Song by Tesla and I just learned Stairway to Heaven a couple of weeks ago.
Foo Fighters and Scorpions
I'm posting this for a friend because he doesn't have an account.

So according to him the input jack on his bass is loose on the inside so the cord doesn't stay in. He has a squire p-bass if that helps. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I'll be in your band.
Seeing as you only have 4 months under you belt you should learn Rock You Like a Hurricane by Scorpions, Smoke on the Water (Obviously), and Iron Man by Black Sabbath. That's what I had under my belt when I was only a few months in (besides Ode to Joy which I don't think falls under you specifications that you gave).
Anything by Ronnie James Dio or Chris Cornell, their voices are just too good.
I wouldn't go for it just because the site is in Korean. But the body looks too wide.

Prices? Willing to go used? Is there anything that your ideology, religion or musical tastes will simply not let you play? We need to know in order to give you the best recommendations.

As others have stated, you would do well with a Gibson Les Paul (there are a boatload from which to choose). As for amps, without a budget, the sky is the limit. I heard a Goodsell Black Dog 50-watt amplifier head through a Marshall 4x12 cabinet not long ago and was very pleased by it. Great tones. But I'll bet it isn't cheap.

I'll go used. Nothing to do with ideology.
People have been asking for a budget. So here it goes. How about for a guitar under 1200 and for an amp under 1000.
So I've had my current guitar (Ibanez RG350Ex) for about 5 or 6 years now and I'm tired of the Edge III tremolo so I'm looking for a new guitar. I like rock such as Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Green Day, Bush, etc. Suggest anything, no particular price range or style. NO FLOYD ROSE OR FLOYD ROSE COPY!

For bonus points someone could also suggest me a new amp. I'm looking for a good tube amp but I don't know where to start since I've never owned one. My current amp is a Peavey Vypyr 15 watt. Again no particular price range (nothing outrageous), preferably a tube amp, and preferably not a modeling amp.

All help is appreciated, thanks.

EDIT: Budget is under 1200 for guitar and under 1000 for amp.

Will go used
In my opinion I think it is Matthias Jabs from the band Scorpions. He is so good and doesn't seem to get a lot of credit.
so recently my D string (4th string) has started buzzing and sounding weird whenever I hold it down on the 7th fret. I just wanted to know if anyone knew how to fix this.
I've decided to give them an ultimatum: either get serious or I'm quitting (meaning no more band). The drummer was busy this weekend (shocker right) but the other guitarist wasn't. I texted him Friday night and he didn't want to because he was too busy playing xbox, he also told me he couldn't do it Saturday because he was having a friend from out of town come over, he never came. I just texted him tonight 30 minutes ago and he never replied because he's playing xbox again. I'm pretty fed up with the lack of seriousness. I'm in another band with more serious players now so it doesn't really matter if I leave this one.
