Anyone else think that the kick drum sounds a little off?
Hmmmm idk. Had around 5 listens now, it has some good songs (Lippincott, The Future That Awaited Me, Ka$cade, Tooth and Claw), but I'm just finding it a bit boring. It has less wankery than Weightless but it doesn't have those awesome melodies that the S/T had. Thoughts?

You gotta be more specific than that.

I really don't know how I could be without uploading some ridiculous recording... but yeah... solos with whammy bar in them! gogogogog

EDIT: Think it's probably a mix of a few songs but still
Haven't been here in a while. Looking for the name of a song whose name escapes me, but part of the solo has JP using the whammy bar and pulling it upwards, might be part of a solo. Can anyone help?!

Also, by "The 2nd Law" are they talking about F=ma or what?

Nope, 2nd law of thermodynamics, hence 'entropy' being posted all over that video.
I am going to buy the shit out of this album.
I've been waiting for this for so long and I am not disappointed in the slightest. Fucking brilliant song in both production and composition dudes. Keen to hear how the other six sound, surely will be killer.

Are you guys going to start/continue writing again soon, seeing as these songs have been written for quite a while or are you going to get touring out of the way first?

New song, how hasn't this been posted yet.

EDIT: Turns out there's two threads, hmm.
Is Capsizing the Sea meant to flow into In Waves? My version ends sort of abruptly.
It's pretty good, I liked the title track that's floating round on youtube.
No growling?

Found this supposed leak:
A cover of some sorts by James Labrie?

Second half is good stuff!

There aren't many popsongs on FII.

Well, what I'm trying to say is that I refer to 'bad' DT as FII.
Basically, I don't want a this one to be a bad album ala FII, if that makes any sense, haha.
I really hope it's not full of 'pop' songs ala Falling into Infinity. That's my #1 fear.
(and the album name is pretty awful, too)
Reminds me of this

Bloody creepy artwork
Space Dye Vest should have ended where the sample of the people talking is and before the drums come in. Just draaaaags on and on.
Also, DT hurry up and release details about the album

TGM is a fun album I've decided. I don't like it too much, but it's pretty fun and I find it's best to listen to it while you're preoccupied with something else; you'll end up dropping back into one of the more awesome parts and rock out. And then you stop it when Swim comes on.

Holy fuck, yes.
What's tommy say at 7:20 in specular reflection?
That was like watching a movie trailer... it looks like they're making a movie of it.
Portnoy would be raging so hard watching that.
Dream theater don't live in adelaide and it's more for you because time in Adelaide is slowed down due to the heavy presence of churches and giant chrome balls. (which I have touched)

I still think the "death is in the air" breakdown in Anablephobia is their heaviest moment. One of the very few moments in any song that gives me chills every single time I hear it. I just love how dark that whole album sounds in general.

Shit yeah. That's why I actually starting listening to TSC instead of ignoring it...
Does anyone have a good quality version of Waves of Babies that they want to send me? :3
My first

I always like the rhythm of Tommy's screams until I read his lyrics. Then they sound so choppy to me. Lyrics are pretty good though, please post the rest of them! Also, where is that line where he says "Wanting what they have, with their perfect smiles" line?? I can never figure out the rest of what he says.

I came in here to look for that line because I couldn't understand the rest of that part and it's not here.
I think it's "wanting what they have, with their perfect smiles and heartless lives". I could be wrong though. Anyone?
Augment of Rebirth like half way through
Takes many listens for me.
Lunar Wilderness is definitely the best song on the EP.

Alright, this is pissing me off. I KNOW I've heard the intro to Augment before. Like, almost the exact same goddamn thing. Anyone have any idea where it came from?

Animals as leaders?
Just listened, great stuff.

Could someone help tell me the names of these pedals? Any help's appreciated thanks!
The first minute of Roboturner is probably my favourite piece of music they've ever made. Dem blastbeats

1. "Specular Reflection" – 11:21
2. "Augment of Rebirth" – 10:19
3. "Lunar Wilderness" – 8:22

times times times!
Time to give the EP a spin
Love about 3 minutes into Sun of Nothing where Blake goes insane.
Has anyone got a proper tab for Chitlins Con Carne? (not the ones on UG)
Or could point me in the direction of someone/somewhere that would?
