World jewish relief?

Relieving the world from jews?

Thats not charity, thats genocide!

I was waiting for something like this. As explained earlier its a jewish charity who help people around the world who are in poverty. Like people in Africa who have nothing.
I'm using Elexir non rust strings and they are awesome, should I break a string I should have a spare guitar at the ready... the broken one will be repaired by my friend.

I LIKE IT, i clicked attending, is there anyway to send the event to my friends, maybe everyone on ug can do the same, send it to as many people as possible, actually get this going?

thanks for joining the event, you can send that link to your friends I suppose, that would be great.

I will be taking 3 short breaks and will have a few people come keep me company to keep my sanity - especially the night shift.

Thanks for all your support, this is going to be insane. A lot of people are asking what am I going to play? and the answer is simple, i'm going to be jamming at any times I'm not going to be playing requests. A lot of my friends are going to be tuning in for the last hour to see if im still standing...

spread the word people!

Why not ???? We do it all the time and it sounds fantastic, my band does alot of gigs with just 2 tops and an active sub. We plug the guitars direct also with line 6 pods.

Thanks for all your help. I wouldnt plug straight in because I really like the tones I have with my amp. What are the advantages of using the DI box? I think I get a nice balanced sound from the output anyway...

It's funny you mention the line 6 pods because I have a UX2 and when I try to use it live it always messes up.
wow, that sounds great. I dont mind not hearing myself through my amp. I was thinking of micing my amp up but then I thought the 30 watts wouldnt be enough power so I thought plugging in was the only way to go???
Hi there,

I am in a wedding band who are about to start advertising. I only have a Roland Cube 30W amp which will not be enough and I dont have enough money at the moment to invest in a new amp. My amp has a phones/recording output on it, would it be ok to plug this straight into the mixer? What is the downside to this?

Thanks.
Cheers, I've found its not an uncommon problem, others have had it too.
Dear UG,

I've been using my UX2 in my room perfectly for recording or just practicing guitar and bass. I run all my sound through it so I even play my music through it. However I have recently encountered problems when using it live...

The moment it leave my room things go wrong. I use the same laptop, the same ux2, the same cables... everything...

I would plug my guitar into my UX2, the Ux2 line out to a PA mixer, and at first it will work fine, but randomly it will cut out and all sound will go, I will have to reset everything to get the sound back. Any ideas?

Cheers.
Serj was awesome. When I asked him he paused for a moment to give it some thought - interparate how you wish. He concluded by saying that it was definite going ahead but there was no set time scale.
I didn't know where to post this but I think it's important you hear it.

Last night I met with my hero, lead singer of system of a down, Serj Tankian. There have been many rumors that he will release a jazz album, and so I asked him to confirm or deny the rumors, and I can confirm from the horse's mouth that he confirmed "a Jazz and orchestrated album"

The man is a living legend, he was so damn cool and down to earth.

Thanks alot man!

The first one is a spiders web full of dew or something like that... you can see all the little drops of water kinda illuminating it!

Nice ball of light ya got there! Groovy

Ah yeh, now I see it. Nicely done!

Cheers. I might retry that in the dark and see what happens, I might just get a blur....
This one has had absolutely zero editing. If anyone is wondering, I am holding a powerball.

Love the third one CrazehSteve - I can't even work out what the first one is - although it looks cool.
Hi there, I am slowly getting into photography in my spare time, below is a picture I took a few weeks ago and I would really appreciate your feedback on where I am going wrong and how I can improve it.

I love my bass - It's really plain and simplistic and kicks a great sound. Epiphone Thunderbird IV Goth Edition.

I'm producing a short album and this is the basis of the front cover. It was taken just after I had jumped out of a plane at 15,000 feet - don't worry I had a parachute on.

I don't think it matters who was killed. If a man intentionally kills someone then they should be put to death. If it's negligence then they should be severely punished. None of this fairy bullcrap.
If I liked England then maybe... but England has been invaded already. I would join a revolution against some of the ridiculous laws we have - I'm all for the biblical theme, you kill someone, you get killed. End.

Whatever you do, don't buy a fan that goes into the PS3 in any way. Apparently that invalidates the warrenty for some bull**** reason.

Yeh I've seen them, no I've got a desk fan in there.

It's not such a confined enclosed space because it's quite big and they are spread out by about a foot and there is nothing else up there. I've been doing it for nearly a year... the only reason im doing it now is because my lamp blew on my projector, luckily the projector manufacturers replaced it for free under guarantee - I may not be so lucky next time.

Will it be worth buying a new PS3 when it craps out from overheating?

The PS3 doesn't have to be right beside the projector, that's why they make cables longer than 2 inches.

Amazing!

I take your point but its the projector thats really the problem - just bought a usb fan to keep it cool. Thanks a lot everyone.

Circulating cool air in and warm air out is important, circulating warm air does nothing.

And for the record, using a machine like a ps3 in an enclosed environment is pretty dumb.

You may feel it's pretty dumb, but my g-d its worth playing COD4 on a 70" screen....

if its in a wardrobe, why not just open the door for a while

I do, but my room is in the loft and it gets warm as it is... thanks for your input though. I think the USB fan should be better than nothing.
Quote by Pierced Brosnan
Plugging a USB fan into it would just put more stress on the PS3 (I think?), and just blow the hot air around rather than keep it cool.. I think.

The PS3 is powerful enough to be able to take a USB fan... it's running fine I just wanna circulate the air rather than cool the air. Circulating is more important...
I have a PS3 which is hooked up to a projector nicely homed inside my wardrobe. However I feel it's getting too warm up in there and want to ventilate both the PS3 and the projector. Any ideas? All I need to do is get the air moving around rather than cool the air. I thought about getting a USB fan and sticking it to one of the sides - Any better ideas?

Cheers.

What the bloody hell was that about?
If she was running at you with a knife for no reason - yes. Otherwise no.
Take them for their talents not for what they appear in the tabloids for.
How about a cuddle?
I saw Serj Tankian alone simply because it would kill be to miss it. There is no problem doing it, and it's cool to meet people. Wear a suit and enjoy the show.
Has anyone got any cool vocal tones for gearbox? I'm looking for something you would hear on an advert for a movie, like a really deep voice? Any ideas?

Cheers.
I obviously haven't posted this in the right section...

this has probably been asked before but what is said on the outro to right on time? It sounds like sabeam sabeam sabeam. Is it something backwards?

As gay as it sounds... climbing over the barrier at Metallica and staring into Kirk Hammets eyes... ok that's gay....
