No, it doesn't.

Well that wasn't a direct quote, that's why I didn't put it in quotes or MLA cite it. It however details the charities put in place to go to his family and medical expenses, as well as no statement anywhere related to him recovering.
Wikipedia says yes.
It's those nightmarish eyebrows...
I'm iffy on it, when I was 13 I thought it was the most clever thing in the world...but now the word "pwn" is almost dead...
He didn't free the slaves, nor was the Civil War fought to free the slaves.

The Civil War was a battle of State Vs. Central power, not about slavery at all, the Emancipation Proclamation didn't free slaves either, it's purpose was to make it seem like the European nations helping the South were actually supporting slavery, in effect forcing them to back out for public relations reasons.

So Lincoln could've very well been a racist, and this is neither supported nor argued by his actions.

yeah i always try and tell my christian friends that according to there religion free will is a lie. he dissagrees, pocedes to mumble something stupid.

Free will isn't a lie, it isn't that he forces us to choose, it's that he knows what we will choose

It's real, but extremely rare, this is one of those things where they find the most extreme thing possible, and present it as a normality. It's pathetic and sad.

I am a Christian, and that entire documentary caused me physical pain to watch, people are idiots.

That film is awesome.
Bubba Ho-Tep was cool, too.

Damn it, everyone likes Bubba Ho-Tep!

Or really anything with Bruce Campbell.
It's all philology:

English is a Germanic language, deriving from Anglo-Saxon, well the Anglo-Saxon language was quite largely mono-syllabic, so when it was spoken in the presence of people who knew Latin, is was referred to as "vulgar" which, in its original definition, just means "common" so the words were considered uneducated, and disrespectful to use, simply because they were typically spoken by the "unintelligent" Anglo-Saxon brutes. However, if you look at the Latin language, the word for "to fornicate" is "****e" pronounced "foo-kay" thus making it di-syllabic and not "vulgar" and all of our current swear words, except bastard (not technically a swear) and "c unt" (invented and first used by Beethoven) are straight, untranslated Anglo-Saxon.

tl;dr: there is no such thing as a swear word, just Anglo-Saxon disrespect.

I've just decided that every stereotypical picture of a cute Asian giving the peace sign needs to be touche-ed with a Puffy Amiyumi, I also haven't seen that show in forever...

Oh don't put me into a party :P Party system just pisses me off.

If anything, I'm a moderate, or Libertarian.

I hate vegetarians/vegans/animal rights activists. Humans > other animals.

Meat is awesome. Imagine life without KFC?...**** that.

Except you're forgetting those, like me, who do it for health reasons.

Both my parents have bad heart history, and I would like to avoid cholesterol so I don't die of a heart attack when I'm 25.

Hey, I've proclaimed myself to be the second coming of Jesus Christ drunk before. We all make mistakes when alcohol is involved.

It's going well thanks. I'm gonna have to try new foods but I don't mind that at all, in fact it's rather exciting. All I have is 'oh! Pork pie! Oh wait,' here and there.

I know how that last point is, went to a Chinese buffet today...I had the pangs, man.
I've been a vegetarian since January 11th, but still do eggs and dairy.

It's quite wonderful, and I have much more energy, as long as you remember to get more protein and eat more, it's wonderful.

A First Act?

A homeless man wouldn't even have the money for that XD
Quote by KurtCobain9898
Very specific and random question.

Quite paradoxical if you ask me.

Not at all, I'm inquiring on a rather specific detail, about something that is completely random in comparison to the rest of the threads and, I expect, your collective lives.
In the film version of Rent, right after Act 1, there's a reprise of Seasons Of Love, while it shows clips from Mark's documentary, there's a short glimpse of a homeless man playing a plastic instrument while sitting on a bench.

Can anyone tell me what instrument this is?

I'm sorry your cat died I love cats

Anyway, one of the dogs we used to foster locked my mom in our basement by jumping on the door latch ten minutes before she had to go to work. She was the only one in our house at the time.

The same dog also managed to climb the stairs to our attic at one time when we left it open.

Your dog is a hardcore champ! High five it for me.
Guys, in honor of my cat's death today, I thought I'd start a thread about the best pets you've had, as well as the best stories about them!

Now go!

Wilco stuff is fun to play, albeit a bit challenging with just one guitar for a lot of their songs.

edit: Oh, you specified acoustic. Well, they still have a good amount of songs you can play on acoustic.

What Light is my favorite for acoustic, and Hate It Here
Quote by The hamburgler
Yeah I'll have to learn that one probably, that's a good album also.

It's my overall favorite, I planned on performing the entire thing as a concert, though maybe skimping a bit on Untitled or The Fool...
