describe the geometrical transformation represented by:
3 -4
4 3

since the elements>1 the usual expressing as

cosx -sinx
sinx cosx

approach doesn't work

I remember coming across these last year and my textbook had a way of doing them that involved using Pythagoras but I can't remember how to do it [and I no longer possess the textbook]
I know the answer contains an enlargement of scale factor 5 either before or after a rotation but I'm quite stuck.

help would be appreciated

i need someone to check a mechanics answer for me

a particle is projected off a ramp. the angle of the ramp is 45', the object is traveling at 3sqrt2 m/s at the end of the ramp, the end of the ramp is 10m high

how far does the particle travel?
ignore air resistance, take gravity as 9.81

i get an answer of about 5.3m

could work it out and check please? [my working out is too long to write here]
aqa decision maths and mechanics, materials and waves tomorrow

I can't really see you getting better, but you really need to do is get one with 4GB RAM. The i3 is a dual channel memory processor, so you need even amounts in the RAM slots, otherwise it will be slower than it should. So try and find a 4GB version.

thanks for the advice
Religion has seriously outstayed its welcome, since we can explain things with science instead of just pulling fairy tales out of our arse we don't need the 'answers' given by power hungry idiots hundreds of years ago.

go to a webpage that has the top 40 chart on it, close your eyes and move your mouse randomly, stop and open your eyes. the song your mouse is on is shit. there are no exceptions

does anyone know a correct feynamn diagram for electromagnetic attraction between two oppositely charged particles?
my textbook only has a feynman diagram for repulsion

all i can think of is this

but i'm not sure if thats correct

I've received death threats for my beliefs.

hey no one ever said they won't pray for really violent things happening to you then send you a transcript of those prayers :p

you have no respect for someone because of how they believe everything came to be?

whats wrong with people nowadays..

well just because someone decides to believe in what are practically fairy tales [this goes for pretty much any religion] doesn't mean people automatically HAVE to respect their beliefs
respect should always be earned, beliefs shouldn't get respect just by existing

About a year and a half ago i used to sing quite a bit and I was perfectly able of singing high notes in my head voice and even doing falsetto. However I stopped singing for quite a while and have been trying to start again. My chest voice hasn't changed at all but i can barely get any high notes with my head voice and falsetto is impossible.
Am i just out of practice or have i lost a massive chunk of my range?
If i put myself in a beam of some gamma rays the atoms in my body will absorb them and become excited. then i can walk into government buildings and de-excite, with the emission of the gamma photons and I'll be a walking nuclear bomb!!!!

Should we blame the government?
Or blame society?
Or should we blame the images on TV?

No, blame Cameron
Blame Cameron
With his beady little eyes
And flappin head so full of lies
Blame Cameron
Blame Cameron
We need to form a full assault
It's Camerons fault!

Don't blame me
For my son Stan
He saw Tv debates
And now he's off to join the Klan!
And my boy Eric once
Had my picture on his shelf
But now when I see him he tells me to **** myself!

Well, blame Cameron
Blame Cameron
It seems that everything’s gone wrong
Since Cameron came along
Blame Cameron
Blame Cameron
He’s not even a real person anyway

My son could've been a doctor or a lawyer it's true
Instead he burned up like a piggy on a barbecue
Should we blame the matches?
Should we blame the fire?
Heck no!

Blame Cameron
Blame Cameron
With all his croquet hubbabaloo
And that bitch Sam Cammy too
Blame Cameron
Shame on Cameron
The smut we must stop
The trash we must smash
Laughter and fun
must all be undone
We must blame them and cause a fuss
Before someone thinks of blaming uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus

You mean inward?
Centripetal force is the force that makes the ball move in circles and it's directed inwards the circular movement.
Centrifugal force is a seudoforce and is just the acceleration of one system of reference in respect to another felt by the person/object in the first one....

Anyways, for calculating the centripetal force, draw a body diagram (or whatever they are called) with the mass in the middle and the axis is radial.
You draw the tension of the string, and the weight of the ball.
To figure out what the tension is (or the velocity of the ball), use the ecuations from circular movement (using radius, cycles, period, angular velocity, etc)....

ok so for deciding m=10, i've got a centripetal force (1/r x 10 x pi^2) = 19.7 (3sf) (newtons is it?)
i'm a beginner at all this stuff, so forgive me if my questions seem idiotic
how does this reflect the tension in the rope as the ball moves in a circle around the post? what do i do to determine the tension in the string?
been wondering for a while about centrifugal/whatever they're called forces.
how do you calculate them?
e.g. I have:

a string of length r which is attached to the post
a ball of mass m attached to the string
and it it going at a velocity such that it takes x seconds to complete a rotation
how would i work out the outward force exerted on the ball?
how would i find the nth term of this sequence?
0.2195, 0.1971, 0.1803, 0.1672, 0.1566, 0.1478, 0.1404
I'm new to playing fingerstlye [played electric for 2.5 years] and the piece that got me interested was recuerdos de la alhambra. as far as I'm aware its considered a tricky piece. I can play it at about 1/3 speed after practicing today, but I'm expecting any more progress to be very slow.

am I crazy for choosing this as my first finger picking piece?
stuck in the middle with you?
