I have hit the wall... I don't know what to play or learn on the guitar anymore and I
have no one to turn to but UG. Basically I am looking for guidance, and something to get
me back to playing the guitar with the burning passion I used to play with. I would like to start making my own music of basically all genres; but mainly the blues, lead guitar, and metal. The thing is, I don't know how. What would I need to learn, and how would
I learn it? Even if it doesn't have to do with making my own music, any advice would be greatly appreciate. I have been playing for a little over 2 years now if that means anything.

Thanks smart kid. I have a tab with all sorts of different music in it. Your username really speaks for itself.
Ok well I'm totally running out of options so I guess I just have to turn to The Pit. I feel stuck in a rut, just playing the same riffs, songs, and licks for the past 6-8 months so I am starting to lose interest. I want to learn lead guitar and how to improvise a solo. But more importantly I just need something to jump start my love in the instrument and playing 3 hours a day like I used to. Can you guys help me find a good website or something that will jump start my playing? I would really appreciate it.
alright thanks. you all have a valid point
Hey UG. I don't know what to do in the situation I am in right now and I was looking for some guidance. This may sound gay but I am debating whether or not I should join my church band. They do small gigs in different local venues. I am an emerging musician so I was thinking that I could get my name heard and have experience in a "show". The bad thing is that its a church band and I like metal and rock. I also don't know if I can commit myself to this if I'm not going to like it. If you could give me your opinion on what I should do I would greatly appreciate it.
