How to Play 'Working for the Weekend' by Loverboy From the Man Who Wrote It

A short bit ago Paul Dean of the band Loverboy released a video on YouTube via Loverboy's channel giving a tutorial on the hit "Working for the Weekend" from the 1981 album "Get Lucky", using the 43 year old Strat he built himself and used to record the first album and most of the band's '80s hits from what appears to be his home while off tour. Not very often you get such a candid video from such a famous band.

While not providing tabs, it does provide chords, plenty of closeups of Paul's fingers, amp settings, recording setup, and the guitar he recorded with, and it appears Paul has pulled the effects off everything in the mix to make the guitar clearer to hear. So if you are looking to have an '80s party with your band rocking the BBQ, or want to cover the song at a gig - here's how to play it.
