Kirk Hammett

Here are some of Kirk's signature techniques he uses for his solos.

First off is his tapping sequences. Although he sometimes does them fast (ex. One solo), they are usually slow tempo and easy on the tapping finger. Here is the tapping sequence for the "Am I Evil?"

Next is the use of the wah pedal in most of his solos. Try to improv something on the G, B, or high E string and then add the wah and follow the rhythm of your solo. Add bends to get even more sounds out of the wah. And last but not least is the harmonic vibratos with the whammy bar. If you have a floyd rose or any locking tremolo, beautiful. If you got an ordinary tremolo, it ok. All you gotta do is hit any natural harmonic on the G, B, or high E string and give the bar a little shake or go crazy and shake the bar until it falls off.

Thanx for reading hope it helped. Email me if got something to say.

This reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Lisa takes tapping lessons. This lesson is nothing but "tappa tappa tappa."
    RENDOGG!!!

    RENDOGG!!!

Your "lesson" consists of tapping, tapping, and a little bit of harmonics... ...Actually, that sounds like the Kirk Hammett we love, but to capture the true essence, you needed pentatonic examples that are uninspired and overfilled with wah. :p:

Where's the section of the lesson on what hair loss products to buy and how to fail using a wah wah in every song?
