Triplet Kills

This lesson is about triplets, use strict (down-up-down) picking. Start off slow then blast it to warp speed. Its kind of long but break it down to pieces to have finger muscle memory.

PS this lesson is terrible, you do not explain what the hell triplets are, and give us a stupid tab that sounds attrocious. In future EXPLAIN the theory, THEN teach the practical side - 1 star

i think it would be if a triplet were explain in more detail and metronome markings were made on the tab

i think it would be alot better if a triplet were explained more clearly and also metronome marking were put in the tab too

you do know that if you want ppl to understand triplets you dont say play this until you get really fast to do a proper lesson you tell us wat triplets are how they are played who plays them tell us specifics about it then tell the nooby to play this until hes fast and say "you just played a triplet" and tell him the steps to making his own and throw in a bull$h!t remark like "its that easy" or "keep practicing" and feed them mor bull$h!t about how he should keep up the good work and that with a little practice he could be good at it and that he should try to write a lame solo using triplets its not that hard man

Spot on man, I use the most eccentric time signatures/note groups you have ever heard (13ths, 25/9 timing) they may sound wierd but their f*cking deadly

People are talking about triplets because triplets add a different signature/sound to any music, they're pretty common in hardcore/metalcore music because they sound good in things like breakdowns. Although it might be difficult to play at first, they can add a whole new dimension to music you write/play.

Yeah it's a good lesson alright... but I just don't ge it: Why is everyone talking always about triplets? I play MUCH faster without them!

I know, triplets are too complicated. I'm faster at just plain old alternate plucking. I use triplets for things that are only 3 note scales, such as doing 123 up then 321 down... then you are never reaching over the string, and your using the least amount of movement. But 1234 using triplets doesn't work.... this lesson needs to be changed.

oh, simpler explanation when your doing a scale up, from low E to high E, you always want to be plucking down when you go to the next string. When you are scaling down, from High E to Low E, you always want to be plucking up. Go pick up your guitar and see what I mean |---..12-14-15| |---..12-14-15---..| | ---..12-14-15- --..| |---..12-14-15---..| |---..1 2-14-15---..| |-12-14-15- --..| down up down down up down down up down down up down down... then do the opposite while scalling down, up down up up down up up down.... you'll see what I mean when you try it

That would be so good, IF IT HAD A BLOODY KEY TO IT!!! Youre just playing random notes
