Metallica to Perform at Benefit Honoring Ozzy Osbourne
Metallica has been added to the lists of artists who will honor Ozzy Osbourne at this year's MusiCares MAP fund benefit concert, HenneMusic notes.

Osbourne will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan award at the event, which recognizes his dedication and support of the MusiCares MAP Fund, as well as his commitment to helping other addicts with the addiction recovery process. The concert is scheduled to take place at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on May 12th.

Joe Walsh will present Ozzy with the award. Previous recipients have included Metallica's James Hetfield, Anthony Kiedis from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chris Cornell, Alice Cooper, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Jerry Cantrell. Ozzy will perform at the event, with special guest Slash.

The MusiCares MAP Fund allows access to recovery treatment and sober living resources for members of the music community as well as offering support groups for working and touring members. The MusiCares Foundation was established in 1989 by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
